BGBA Vice President Speaks on Urgent US Tariff Concerns

In a recent interview with Jamuna TV, Mr. A.K.M Saifur Rahman (Farhad), Vice President of Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA), shared his deep concern regarding the current US tariff situation.
“Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to successfully negotiate with the USA. As a result, our products are becoming $1 to $2 more expensive than those from competing countries — depending on the product — and if this continues, we risk losing our export market to others.” — A.K.M Saifur Rahman, Vice President, BGBA
This statement underscores the urgent need for stronger trade negotiations and coordinated efforts between industry stakeholders and the government to safeguard Bangladesh’s competitiveness in the global apparel market.
